Discussion Aids | The Hero's Journey: Life's Great Adventure.

Classroom discussions are a valuable tool for learning and understanding. The Hero’s Journey: A Guide to Literature and Life incorporates a variety of discussion activities to help students thoroughly understand the journey pattern and its dynamics.

For informal, supplementary discussions, questions are included in the background and lecture notes for the material you are covering in class. For example, if you are reading “Minos and Minotaur,” you will find several discussion questions and brief activities in your teaching notes for that story.

For more formal discussions, students will have a handout with the questions and you will have the questions and sample answers for those questions on facing pages in your teacher’s guide. The introductory questions for “The Hero’s Journey” unit (below) illustrate this design feature.
